LED high bay light retrofit workshop lighting

In the past year, metal halide high bay lights widely used in industrial lighting in workshops, but in view of the high power consumption, most people consider to using LED lights to replacement MH bulbs as LED high bay to saving energy and money.

The workshop lighting usually consider to using 400W MH high bay before, in order to get a same brightness, customer need to use 150W -200W LED high bay light to retrofit existing 400W Metal Halide lighting in the workshop.

Normal workshop lighting need 300lux, the LED high bay light is the best choice for retrofit MH high bay in workshop as LED high bay lighting.

How will LED corn light actually benefit me?

We using Osram 64400 ECO 240V 70W E27 base mains voltage halogen lamp before, lumen 1180, we total have 1760PCS 70W Osram halogen lamps, we want to replacement by LED bulbs.

We search in google to find a retrofit LED lighting which could replacement our 70W halogen lamp, lumen no less than 1180lm.

We have tried LED lamp called LED corn lamp in from a China supplier, the brightness very good, and could directly install in existing lighting fixture.

The advantage of LED corn light

In the past years, High voltage sodium lamp is the leading source of industrial illumination which are widely used in both commercial and industrial lighting. Until today, The High pressure sodium(HPS) lamps is the style leader in the industrial lighting in factory, warehouses, hall, gym, exhibition center and street lights.

Traditional ballast components of inductance ballast has some disadvantages which include large volume, high self consumption, low power factor and difficult to adjust. High pressure sodium(HPS) lamps driven by traditional electromagnetic ballast usually suffer from high current stress on lamp's electrodes during start up stage.

Traditional high bay warehouse lamps will use incandescent and high voltage sodium lamp. It will reduce the strength when working in burning environment and damage the bulb very easy by slight shake.

In view of the disadvantage of High pressure sodium(HPS) lamps. TEKLED designed a retrofit LED light bulb with a lot of studies. The new designed replacement bulb named LED corn light, it looks like a corn at appearance.

LED corn light bulb has strong lamplight and can save more than 70% energy compared with HPS lamp.
