What wattage LED corn bulb could replace 150W Metal Halide?
150W metal halide medium base E27/E27, usually use in low bay lighting fixture. What lumen LED corn light could retrofit? Today, we make a test to compare it. 40W LED bulb & 150W MH bulb install in bay light fixture, installation height 3meter, indoor lighting.
Firstly, we try the 40Watt LED corn bulb, Flux>4500lm, rated power:43Watt, we install the LED corn bulb on the left here, LED lights do not need ballast, so just screw in the E27 LED bulb to socket, all is done. P.S.:If it is a retrofit project, you need to bypass the ballast or directly remove it before replacement
The E27 40Watt LED corn light bulb install on the left bay light fixture, and then we turn on the light, picture as below.
Today we compared with a 150W Metal halide bulb. We use Osram HQI-E 150Wmetal halide to test.
Now, we install 150Watt MH bulb on the right side bay light fixture. And turn on the lights
Which bulb brightness higher? 40W LED corn bulb or 150W MH bulb? You may say 40W LED corn bulb. As matter of factor, 150W flux level a little higher than 40Watt.
